In 2006 about 40,000 people hit the streets of Sydney to join the Walk Against Warming. It is even more important to join into the walk in 2007, as it is the federal election year and our chance to alter the future! APEC showed us that the existing government is not able to deal properly with the issue of climate change, an issue that will be hitting Australia very hard. That is why we should grab the opportunity to speak our minds, in order to change our future, and that of our kids and grandkids! Bring your friends and family along this to special occasion and let this event unite us in the fight against dangerous climate change.

 

Create your own special message against climate change on a placard or banner and bring it to the Walk. Lets make it a stunning visual event!

 

You also can take an active role in helping us making the Walk Against Warming 2007 an unforgettable success. Be one of the volunteers and help in the organisation of the Walk on the day. Some of the roles include collecting signatures, acting as a marshal and selling T-Shirts. By volunteering you will not only be an active part of this amazing experience, but will help in protecting Australia from dangerous climate change. Every volunteer is greatly appreciated. When is this amazing event going to happen? As John Howard has called the election for November 24, the Walk Against Warming will be on Sunday, November 11.
